In 1899, Carl Miele and Reinhard
Zinkann began the Miele company in a small wooden barn in the community
of Herzebrock, Germany with eleven employees and a promise, "Immer
Besser." This philosophy, meaning "Forever Better," has guided Miele
through more than 100 years of family-ownership and continues to
represent both a duty and challenge for its 15,000 employees today.
Since adding vacuum cleaners to its household appliance range in 1927,
Miele has been considered a leader in the international floor care
industry, pressing the technology envelope ever since its first vacuum
cleaner, the "Melior."
Notably, the Melior canister vacuum
insulated live electrical components with a molded material, bakelite
(named after its Belgian inventor, Baekeland), which was the first
plastic to be used in the household arena. Miele's use of bakelite
positioned the company as a pioneer in the use of plastics in domestic
appliances, providing the best possible protection against electrical
shock with unparalleled noise reduction.
Today, Miele continues its legacy, manufacturing Miele vacuum cleaners
that deliver powerful performance, advanced filtration systems,
convenient features and enduring quality within a brilliantly designed
framework.
Once you try a Miele canister vacuum cleaner, you will not want to use
anything else.
Our powerful Miele vacuum cleaners are highly responsive to the
slightest touch, which means you will not be fighting with your vacuum
cleaner.
By combining a powerful 1200-watt motor
with a smooth, completely sealed system, Miele's engineers have increase
the airflow on some of our canisters up to an incredible 141 cubic feet
per minute for added power and performance.
Regardless of which Miele model you choose, our motors produce
exceptional airflow that ensure deep cleaning for any pile carpeting and
superior cleaning results on all smooth floor surfaces.
All our canister Miele vacuum cleaners are also equipped with speed
control so you can reduce the suction when cleaning more delicate
surfaces.
